What Are Precious Drops?

Precious Drops adds rare gems and tiered pelts as random drops when you mine ore nodes or skin animals. These special items have unique skins and can be sold to the NPC Carlos at the Outpost for RP and Dollars — turning your regular gathering into a passive income source.

Gems are unlocked through SkillTree prestige levels. Everyone can find Emeralds from the start, but Rubies require Prestige Level 1 and Diamonds require Prestige Level 2. The rarer the gem, the more it's worth.

Gems — From Mining

Gems drop randomly when you hit any ore node (stone, metal, or sulfur). Each hit has a small chance to produce a gem, scaled by your tool.

⛏️ Better tools give better odds. A Jackhammer gives 2× the drop chance compared to a stone pickaxe. A salvaged icepick gives 1.5×, and a regular pickaxe gives 1.2×.

Pelts — From Skinning

Pelts drop randomly when you harvest animal corpses. Any animal works — bears, wolves, boars, stags, horses, polar bears, tigers, panthers, and crocodiles.

Carlos — Outpost Gem & Pelt Buyer

Take your gems and pelts to Carlos, located at the Outpost. He'll buy all your precious drops for RP and Dollars. Rarer items are worth significantly more. This is the primary way to convert your gathering efforts into server currency — stack up gems and pelts, then cash them all in at once for a big payout.

💡 Use /outpost to teleport directly to the Outpost and sell your haul. Combine with EpicLoot Miners or Skinners buff sets for even more gathering yield and more chances at drops.

Rubies unlock when you reach SkillTree Prestige Level 1. Diamonds unlock at Prestige Level 2. Emeralds are available to everyone from the start. Level up your SkillTree and prestige to unlock the rarer, more valuable gems.

Carlos is an NPC vendor located at the Outpost. Use /outpost to teleport there, then look for him. He buys all gem and pelt types for RP and Dollars.

The drop chance is rolled on each individual hit, not when the node breaks. This means the more times you swing, the more chances you get. Jackhammers hit fast and have a 2× multiplier, making them the best tool for gem farming.

Yes — bears, wolves, boars, stags, horses, polar bears, tigers, panthers, and crocodiles all have a chance to drop pelts when skinned. The drop chance is the same regardless of animal type.

Yes — the plugin tracks your total gems and pelts found. Admins can view stats, but there's no player-facing stats command currently. Just keep mining and skinning — your fortune will stack up.

Yes — gems and pelts are regular items in your inventory. You can drop them, put them in boxes, or trade them to other players. They can sell them to Carlos too — anyone can sell, the prestige requirement is only for finding them.
