What Is HeliSignals?

HeliSignals lets you call a patrol helicopter directly to your location using a custom supply signal. The heli arrives, patrols, and engages you in combat — shoot it down to claim the valuable heli crates that drop at the crash site.

There are 6 difficulty tiers (Easy through Nightmare), each with increasing helicopter health and firepower. On top of single-heli signals, there are Multi signals that call several helis at once, and Wave signals that send helis one after another in escalating waves.

How to Call a Heli

  1. 🛒Open /shop and buy a Heli Signal for the tier and type you want, using RP.
  2. 📍Go to an open area — preferably away from your main base and other players' builds.
  3. 🚀Throw the signal like a supply signal. The heli will be dispatched to your location.
  4. ⚔️Fight the helicopter! It will patrol and attack. Shoot out its rotors, then destroy the body.
  5. 📦When destroyed, it crashes and drops heli crates at the crash site with valuable loot.
⚠️ The helicopter fires rockets and bullets. Higher tiers are extremely dangerous. Make sure you're geared up and have cover. NPCs may also spawn at the crash site on some configurations.

Difficulty Tiers

Each tier has a different level of helicopter health, damage output, and loot quality. Higher tiers require better gear and preparation.

Signal Types

There are three types of Heli Signal available for each tier:

🚁
Single Heli
Calls one helicopter of the chosen tier. The standard experience — great for solo or duo players at lower tiers.
🚁🚁🚁
Multi Heli
Calls multiple helicopters at once. Pure chaos — you'll need a team and serious firepower to handle several helis simultaneously.
🌊
Wave Signal
Sends helis one after another in waves, with escalating difficulty. Survive each wave to face the next. Endurance test.
💡 Start with Single Easy to learn the mechanics, then work your way up. Multi and Wave signals are designed for groups and experienced players.

Tips & FAQ

The helicopter has two main rotors — shoot them both out and it will start smoking and losing altitude. Once the rotors are destroyed, keep shooting the body to finish it off. High fire-rate weapons like LMGs and assault rifles work best. SAM sites can also help at lower tiers.
Find or build an open area with some cover. A purpose-built shooting tower works great — elevation gets you closer to the heli. Don't fight near your main base, as rocket fire can cause splash damage in the area.
Loot access depends on server configuration. On Markiii-Rust, crates from your called heli are generally protected for your team. Check with the community if unsure.
Multi sends several helis at the same time — you fight them all at once. Wave sends them one after another with escalating difficulty. Multi is about burst firepower; Wave is about endurance and ammo management.
Yes — there's a cooldown period between deployments. You also can't deploy if you already have an active heli in the field. Wait for your current heli to be destroyed or retired before calling another.
Yes — use /hsretire to retire all your active helicopters. There's no refund on the signal, but it ends the event immediately if you're overwhelmed.
Some configurations spawn NPCs at the crash site to guard the crates, similar to vanilla heli crashes. Come prepared to fight on the ground too.
