What Is The Havoc Forge?

The Havoc Forge is a crafting UI where you combine items with Havoc Reagents and Catalysts to create powerful Havoc gear. Use it to craft or upgrade both weapons and armor. The forge has 3 crafting slots: Item slot (weapon or armor), Reagent slot (barrels, strings, plates, or threads), and Catalyst slot (springs).

Select items from your inventory, and if they match a valid recipe the FORGE button lights up green. Hit it to craft your new gear. Craftable recipes automatically sort to the top of the list for easy access.

Important: Havoc components cannot be purchased. Reagents and Catalysts drop from NPCs — higher-tier NPCs drop rarer components. Farm tougher enemies to get better ingredients. Note: "Barrel/String" terminology is now unified as "Reagent" in the UI.

Crafting Components

There are three types of components used in the forge. Each recipe requires specific reagents or catalysts to work.

Havoc Reagents (Barrels & Strings)

  • Havoc Rocket Barrel — used for Rocket Python, Rocket Waterpipe, Havoc Minigun
  • Havoc Incendiary Barrel — used for Incendiary Rocket Revolver
  • Havoc F1 Grenade Barrel — used for F1 Python, F1 Eoka
  • Havoc HV Rocket Barrel — used for HV Rocket Python, HV Waterpipe
  • Havoc Rocket Strings — used for Rocket Bow
  • Havoc HV Rocket Strings — used for HV Rocket Bow
  • Havoc Incendiary Arrow — used for Incendiary Rocket Bow

Havoc Reagents (Plates & Threads)

  • Havoc Plates — used for initial armor creation. Required to craft base Havoc armor items from standard armor pieces.
  • Havoc Threads — used for armor upgrades. Required to enhance and upgrade existing Havoc armor with improved stats.

Havoc Catalyst (Spring)

Havoc Spring (also called Chaos Spring) — optional component required by most weapon recipes. Some recipes need 1x Spring, others need 2x. The Forge UI shows exactly how many springs each recipe needs. Note: Bow recipes do not require springs. Armor recipes may have different catalyst requirements.

How To Obtain Components

Havoc components are obtained by killing NPCs. Different NPC tiers drop different components at different rates.

Tier 1 NPCs (250+ HP, 5% drop chance)

Drops: Havoc F1 Grenade Barrel

Tier 2 NPCs (1500+ HP, 3% drop chance)

Drops: HV Rocket Barrel, Incendiary Barrel, all Strings, Havoc Plates, Havoc Threads, Havoc Spring

Tier 3 NPCs (4000+ HP, 2-5% drop chance)

Drops: Rocket Barrel, higher-chance Strings, Springs, Plates, and Threads

💡 Pro tip: Stronger NPCs drop rarer components. Fight tougher enemies for better forge ingredients.

FAQ

Kill NPCs! Reagents (barrels, strings, plates, threads) and Catalysts (springs) drop from NPC corpses. Tougher NPCs (higher HP) have better drop rates for rarer components. Fight stronger enemies to build your forge inventory faster.
No. Havoc Weapons and Armor must be crafted at the Havoc Forge. There is no shortcut — you have to farm components and build them yourself.
The forge only lets you select reagents that are compatible with your chosen item. If you have a Python selected, you'll only see barrels that work with Pythons. The UI prevents invalid combinations.
No — bow recipes only need the Hunting Bow and the matching String. No Catalyst (spring) required. This makes bows cheaper to craft than rifle-based Havoc Weapons.
No. Once forged, the item is permanent. The components are consumed in the craft and cannot be recovered. Choose your recipes wisely!
Once you craft Havoc armor, you can upgrade it using Havoc Threads in the Forge. Place your Havoc armor in the Item slot, add Threads as the reagent, and use any required catalyst. The Forge UI will show available upgrades for your gear.
