What Is Havoc Armor?

Havoc Armor is a custom Markiii plugin adding a 3-piece armor set with 5 upgrade tiers. Each piece provides percentage-based damage reduction (defence) on ALL damage sources — NPC gunfire, turrets, animals, environmental damage, traps, fall damage, heat, cold, radiation, decay, everything.

Higher tiers also grant a damage bonus percentage, making you hit harder as you build your armor. The set is crafted and upgraded at the Havoc Forge using metal plates, cloth threads, springs, and Epic Scrap.

⚔️ Defence stacks per piece. You don't need all 3 pieces to benefit — wear just the chestplate and you get 25% defence at T5. Mix and match as you collect pieces.

Step 2: Open the Havoc Forge
Type /forge to open the Havoc Forge UI.

Step 3: Combine Base Armor + Components
Select a base armor piece (facemask, chestplate, or kilt) + metal plate + cloth thread + spring. Hit FORGE to craft your T1 Havoc armor piece.

Step 4: Upgrade with Epic Scrap & Threads
To upgrade a T1 piece to T2, place the armor in the Havoc Forge with the required Epic Scrap and threads. See the upgrade costs table below.

How Defence Works

Defence is percentage-based. A defence stat of 10% means 10% of ALL incoming damage is reduced. This applies across every damage type: bullets from NPCs and players, turret fire, melee hits, animal attacks, fall damage, heat, cold, radiation, decay — everything.

Defence stacks per piece worn. If you wear the Havoc Chestplate (T5, 25% defence) and the Havoc Roadsign Kilt (T5, 15% defence), you get a combined 40% defence reduction. Wear all 3 pieces at T5 for the maximum 50% defence.

Maximum defence cap: 90% (configurable by your server admin; default on Markiii servers is 50% from the full T5 set). This prevents players from becoming completely unkillable.

Defence is applied on top of normal armor. Your Havoc defence reduction happens after vanilla Rust armor calculations, giving you an extra layer of protection on top of your standard protection values.

FAQ

No. Each piece provides its own defence and damage bonus independently. Wearing just the Havoc Chestplate at T5 gives you 25% defence and 20% damage bonus. Mix and match pieces as you collect them — you benefit from every piece you equip.
Yes, 100% of damage sources are affected by your defence %. This includes fall damage, heat damage, cold damage, environmental damage, animal attacks, turret fire, NPC gunfire, and player attacks. If it deals damage, your defence percentage reduces it.
Open the Havoc Forge with /forge. Select your existing Havoc armor piece, add the required Epic Scrap and Threads (see the upgrade costs table in Section 3), then click the forge button. Your armor upgrades one tier. Repeat to reach T5.
No. The plugin tracks every legitimate Havoc armor piece with a unique registry. Applying the Havoc skin to vanilla armor won't grant any defence or damage bonus — it's only cosmetic. You must craft genuine Havoc armor pieces at the Havoc Forge.
The full T5 set gives 45% damage bonus (Facemask 10% + Chestplate 20% + Kilt 15%). There's also a server-side cap (default 50%) to prevent stacking exploits. Check with your admin for exact limits on your server.
No. Like all Rust items, Havoc armor wipes with the server at each wipe cycle. You'll need to collect components and craft your pieces again on the next wipe. Start farming NPCs early to gather the resources you need.
From NPC drops via the Havoc loot system. Kill NPCs throughout the map — they drop metal plates, cloth threads, springs, and other Havoc components. Higher-tier NPCs drop rarer and higher-quality components. See the HavocDrops guide for full NPC loot tables.
