What Is Building Stability?

In vanilla Rust, building blocks lose stability the further they are from foundations — eventually collapsing if they're too far from a support point. This plugin lets you disable stability entirely on blocks you place, meaning you can build floating platforms, massive overhangs, sky bridges, and structures that would normally be impossible.

When you toggle stability off, every block you place from that point on will have no stability requirements — it just stays where you put it. Foundations are always excluded and keep normal stability regardless, so your base still has a solid footing.

This is a dream plugin for creative builders. Want a floating island base? A bridge between two cliffs? A 20-storey tower with no supports? Go wild.

How to Get Access

Building Stability is a perk that needs to be unlocked before you can use it. There are two ways to get access:

Player Commands

Chat Commands
/ bs
Toggle building stability on or off for yourself. When OFF, any blocks you place will ignore stability rules and float freely.
/ stability
Alternative command — does the same thing as /bs.
/ bshud
Toggle the HUD status indicator on or off. The HUD shows your current stability state when holding a building plan.
/ bshud pos
Opens a position menu to move the HUD indicator to one of 8 screen positions.
⚠️ When stability is OFF, your HUD will display Stability: OFF while holding a building plan. When stability is ON (normal), it shows Stability: ON. Keep an eye on this so you know what mode you're in!

How to Use It

Using Building Stability is dead simple. Here's the workflow:

📋 Step by Step
Step 1: Type /bs in chat to disable stability OFF
Step 2: Equip your building plan and start placing blocks — they'll float!
Step 3: When you're done, type /bs again to re-enable stability ON
Note: Blocks placed while stability was OFF remain floating — they won't collapse when you toggle back ON
☠️ Be careful with restoring stability! If stability is restored to a building that has floating sections, any unsupported pieces will collapse immediately. The plugin shows a confirmation popup before doing this, so read it carefully.

Tips & FAQ

No — once placed with stability off, blocks stay floating permanently. They persist through server restarts too. The only way they'd collapse is if someone manually restores stability to that building.
No — foundations are always excluded. They keep normal stability rules regardless of your toggle state. This means your base always has proper grounding.
Absolutely — the floating structures are visible to everyone on the server. This is great for showing off creative builds!
The HUD only shows when you're holding a building plan. If you don't see it, try /bshud to make sure it's enabled, and /bshud pos to move it to a visible screen position.
You need to purchase the Building Stability perk first. Open the shop with /shop and buy it with your RP. Titan rank holders have it automatically.
No — the toggle only affects new blocks you place after turning it off. Existing blocks keep whatever stability state they already have.
