What Is Abandoned Bases?

Abandoned Bases automatically checks every base on the server to find ones where all authorised players on the Tool Cupboard have been offline for a set number of days. When a base is flagged as abandoned, one of two things happens:

  1. 1 If the base is too small (doesn't meet minimum foundation/wall requirements), it's immediately destroyed to clean up the map.
  2. 2 If the base is large enough, it becomes a raidable event — a dome appears around it, PVP is enabled inside, and a map marker shows its location for all players.

This keeps the map fresh by removing clutter from players who have left, and gives everyone exciting PVE raid content from real player-built bases.

Inactivity Timers by Rank

How long before your base is considered abandoned depends on your rank. Higher VIP tiers get longer protection — and the top ranks are completely immune.

Rank Days Offline Status
Default 5 days Base becomes raidable after 5 days offline
VIP 7 days Extended to 7 days of protection
VIP+ 7 days Extended to 7 days of protection
MVP Unlimited Your base is immune — never abandoned
Fanatic Unlimited Your base is immune — never abandoned
Titan Unlimited Your base is immune — never abandoned
💡 The timer checks all players authorised on the TC. Your base is only flagged when every single authorised player has been offline for the required number of days. If even one authorised player is still active, your base is safe.

How a Raid Event Works

When a base goes abandoned and qualifies as raidable, here's what happens:

  1. 🔔 A map marker appears showing the location of the abandoned base with a countdown timer.
  2. 🔵 A dome surrounds the base. This dome protects the base from being attacked from the outside — you have to enter to raid it.
  3. ⚔️ PVP is enabled inside the dome. Other players raiding the same base can fight you, so watch your back.
  4. You have a limited time to raid and loot the base. The despawn timer ticks down, and when it expires the base is destroyed.
  5. 🏃 When you leave the dome, you'll have a PVP delay — you can still be attacked for a short time after exiting. Don't zone-hop!
⚠️ The despawn timer resets when the base is attacked, so actively raiding keeps the event alive longer. Once you stop and the timer runs out, the base and all remaining loot is destroyed.
☠️ Remember: PVP is on inside the dome! Even on our PVE server, abandoned base zones are free-fire. Gear up before you go in and be ready for a fight.

Player Commands

There are no required commands for this plugin as a regular player — abandoned bases appear automatically. However, if you have the appropriate permissions (e.g. through a VIP rank), you may have access to:

Chat Commands
/ sar
Convert a base you're authorised on into an abandoned base event (requires permission).
/ sar claim
After a raid event finishes and the TC is destroyed, claim the base as your own (requires permission).
/ sar cancel
Cancel an active event on a base you converted (requires permission).
ℹ️ Most players won't need any commands — just look for the map markers and head to the dome to raid! The plugin runs entirely in the background.

Tips & Things to Know

Simply log in regularly! As long as you (or any other player authorised on your TC) logs in within your rank's timer period, your base stays safe. Higher VIP tiers get more days, and MVP/Fanatic/Titan ranks are completely immune.
Yes! Backpacks can be opened while inside the dome, so you can stash loot as you raid without leaving the zone.
Depending on server settings, automated events may be cancelled if the original base owner comes back online. If the event is cancelled, raiders will be notified.
No — the dome protects the base from outside attacks. You have to physically enter the dome to raid the base. Once inside, you're in a PVP zone, so be prepared.
After exiting the dome zone, you'll be flagged for PVP for a short time (typically around 15 seconds). During this window, other players can still attack you. Don't hop in and out of the zone to try to avoid fights!
Active abandoned base events show as map markers with a countdown timer. Open your map (G) and look for the markers labelled "Abandoned Player Base" with the remaining time shown.
